Keeping a blog going with interesting articles is a challenge (as evidenced by my own blog, which I started a few years ago, with only a handful of articles to show for it). We’ve been working hard over at Obsidian Learning to maintain a blog, and it has been hard to get people to contribute to it. After all, they have day jobs, right?

And most of our articles have been on instructional design and development. That’s why we were thrilled to get an article from Tim Spencer (our Creative Director) on graphic design. In the article, Tim talks about how the arrangement of graphic elements (particularly their size) can reinforce the message of the piece and guide the viewer’s understanding.

It’s a good read, so please check it out.
